Judges comment


Satoko Kurata: It was interesting because there were many entries of long hair with color design. I picked the design which I felt had the best balance of all three aspects: coloring, styling and background. Entries of men‘s color were also very cute and the presentation techniques was nice. I look forward to seeing more short hair designs too!


Soichiro Uchida: It has been a very inspiring experience to see many global designs for me, as one of a Japanese hair stylist. It was very interesting to notice every region has their own characteristics in terms of hair design and color. To improve the quality, I recommend to put more emphasis on the model's make-up and the art direction on the photo. Please keep on doing your best!


Hiroki Yanagihara: The finest detail of the hair and the expression of the hair color of the top nominated designs were good.
Overall, there were many entries of daily designs this time. Therefore I recommend to add much more designs specially for photo contest and it will become better.
If wonderful designs and people walking on the street with wonderful hair style increase across the world, I will be glad staying as one of a hair stylist. I hope the spread of COVID-19 will end soon, and we can share with the world more about beauty.
